Super Coins

On some stages there are flying Lucky Cats.
If you kill the enough cats, a red cat will fly along.
If you kill the red Lucky Cat, it will drop a red coin.
The coin is worth a lot more than a regular coin.

Level Select

 Updated 18 Jul
Turn the power on and press Run + Select to reset the game.
Next push I + II + Run + Select.
While still holding all the buttons press Up 8 times.

Get The Alpha Sword

When you get to the debug menu, go down to the SOUND and EFFECT.
Play the first sound by EFFECT, then go up to SOUND and play 06.
While that is playing, go down to EFFECT and play the 11th one.
The SOUND 06 should sound different. Then go to level 6.
When you go into the sword hut, you won't be able to buy the alpha sword because you will already have it.

Debug Mode

After you turn on the game, hold Select + Start + 1 + 2.
When the Start icon appears, tap Up eight times while you are still holding the other buttons down.
Once you're in debug mode, use Button 2 to change the number of hearts you have and other options.

Freeze The Last Boss Trick

At the end of the game just before you drop down to defeat the last boss, just simply start at the beginning of the platform and run straight off. If you did it right the last boss should freeze in place making beating him a piece of cake.
