When in level 3-2, shoot the second giant asteroid on the right side of the screen until it explodes. Chase the egg
that flies out of it, and fly into the claws of the bird that will hatch from it. You will warp to the Out Of This
Dimension area, where you will contend with lots of paper products! If you succeed in surviving to reach the giant
slot machine, shoot the arm of it until you hit the triple lucky 7 jackpot and you will be rewarded with the "Secret
Ending."
Twin blasters
If you fly through ALL of the archways in stage 1 of any of the 3 levels, the Twin Blaster power-up will appear in the
largest archway. In level 1-2, before you reach the grey Supply Rings, look for three gold asteroids in a triangle
formation. Fire through the center of the triangle and Twin Blasters will appear on the other side (or photon Twin
Blasters, if you already have Twin Blasters).
Black hole warp
In level 1-2, before you reach the grey Supply Rings, you will see three asteroid bars (each made up of 4 gray
asteroids with a gold one in the center). Destroy the first 3 bars (by waiting until you are as close as possible,
then blasting the gold center asteroid). If you are close enough when you destroy them, a grey laughing asteroid
appears. Blast it and enter the Black Hole it reveals. Three exits (which look like grey Supply Rings) are within. The
first goes to level 2-4, the second to level 3-4, and the third to level 1-4.
The whale
The whale will appear on the Amoeba stage of level 2, the one ending with the spinning, long-armed boss (the stage
right before Venom), but only if you do not shoot any Blue Sting Rays. It appears just before you reach the boss, and
drops enough power-ups to give you full energy, a shield, double twin blasters, and 5 nova bombs. | Hint: Warp Zone Details | Updated 02 Jul | The following information is about the warp zone that James McCloud (Fox's father) died investigating. Select the middle road to Venom. After reaching the asteroid field, three sets of five asteroids spinning in a line will appear. The middle asteroid is red one, which indicates that it is destructible. The camera angle should be inside for more precision. Get as close as possible to the first middle asteroid and at the last second, shoot it. Your ship might get hit by the remaining asteroid; make sure your ship has enough shields remaining. It might be a little longer (five to fifteen seconds) before your ship reaches the next asteroid. Repeat your last second shots for the next two asteroids. The third asteroid takes about one second to reach after the second one. Be prepared to destroy it at the last second. An asteroid with a weird gray smiley face with red eyes will appear. Destroy this asteroid, which may be difficult, to open a black hole. Do not fire at it; just fly through the black hole to enter. There are three spinning circles of small objects in the black hole spaced far apart. The third spinning circle leads to Venom. If you pass by it, your ship will just start at the beginning of the black hole level again, as if flying in a circle.
Choose track three, then go to the asteroid belt and keep shooting the second big asteroid until it is destroyed. A bird-like object will fly out. Do not shoot it. Ram into it to travel "out of this dimension". Shoot the paper-like objects. The boss does not have a life meter, just icons (until they display three 7s) Shoot "THE END" letters until they are in the right position. The letters will be orange when they are correct. | Music Test | Updated 02 Jul | | At the title screen press UP + A + B + Y + X + R + L | Black Hole | Updated 04 Sep | | To find the black hole, choose course one and get to the asteroid belt. There go through the course as usual but when the long chain of asteroids appears, wait until they come very close then destroy them. After you do that to all of them an asteroid with a face appears. Keep shooting it until it turns into a black hole and go through it. | Bonus Level | Updated 04 Sep | This trick requires the Plasma Cannon.
To find the bonus level, choose course three and get to the second stage. In the asteroid belt you'll find two asteroids which are much larger than the others. Use your Plasma Cannon to blast the large asteroid on the lower right-hand side. A bird will appear. Fly into it to enter the Bonus Level! | Playing Tips | Updated 04 Sep | | The boss is a huge slot machine, which is extremely hard to beat. You have to shoot it until it spins three "7"s. When you beat it, the credits come up as if you beat the game normally, but you can still fly your Arwing through them! Then at the end, you can shoot the letters of "THE END" (while being attacked by enemy planes!) to make then fly up and flip around in the air. You don't get anything extra, but it's fun! If you die, you start at the beginning of the level ("Out of this Dimension") | Double Wing Blasters | Updated 04 Sep | | To get the double wing blasters, follow Slippy through all the loops on the first level of any route. Good luck! | View Enemies | Updated 04 Sep | | When the game ends and the Air-wing is spinning around, press Y on Controller Two to select an enemy.
