Cheats for R-Types on PlayStation

Search for game: 

Level Select

Highlight either the R-Type or R-Type II options at the title screen then enter this code:
Quickly press L2(10), R2(10), begin gameplay then hit start.

Get A Weapon

 Updated 24 Oct
Pause the game during play then type in this code:
Hold L2 and press Right, Up, Left, Right, Down, Left, Up, Right
Hit one to get a weapon:
Triangle, Square, X, Circle, or R1

Change Speed

 Updated 24 Oct
Pause the game during play then type in this code:
Hold L2 and press Right, Up, Right, Up, Down, Left, Down, Left
Use Circle to increase speed and X to decrease speed.

Extra Credits

 Updated 14 Aug
Constantly press Select at the title screen of any R-Type game to get up to 99 credits. This may also be done at the countdown on the game over screen to continue.

All Weapons

Press Start to pause the game in R-Type or R-Type II. Hold L2 and press Right, Up, Left, Right, Down, Left, Up, Right followed by one of these buttons for various weapons: Triangle, Square, X, Circle, or R1.

Slow Motion

Level Select
