| First start the race with the turtle, then run to the 1st flower patch and stand still. Then you will teleport to another flower patch near the mountain. Start to run up the mountain and when you see the hole where the cannon balls come from (the hole in the cliff) Stand in it for a while and you will teleport right next to the top of the mountain in the higher hole. |

| Butterflies may appear on courses 2, 12, and 13. Punch the butterflies to turn them into round black bombs that will chase Mario. Then, the bombs will explode or turn into one-up mushrooms. |

| In the first level when you foot race the koopa turtle have pink bo-bombs open the cannon before the race. Then once it starts go to the mario flying hat and go to the cannon. Shoot to the top mountain where the race ends and fly up to it. |

Aim to land Mario onto the roof, where he will meet Yoshi. Then, he will speak to Mario, award a 100 life bonus and a triple-jump move, and quickly leave. |

| The first level you go to (the one with the bigbomb boss at the top) when you go up the mountain you will see a big hole halfway up the mountain (it is the one where the big balls come out of) go into the hole (dont worry balls wont hit you!) stand in the middle of it against the wall in the back and stand still,you will be transported to another hole right at the top of the mountain!!! P.S. this is a good cheat when you race the big koopa. |

go to the 2nd snow man stage and let the snowman blow mario's hat off. then DON'T PICK UP THE HAT!!!! go to one of the teleports in the level (under one of the trees) and teleport back and forth a couple of times. THEN get your hat. teleporting will have multiplied the hats so now mario can hold a hat in his hand instead of wearing it!

| Go outside the castle, near the waterfall. Climb the third tree from the waterfall. Do a handstand on top of the tree to get a one-up. Then, enter the castle's first floor. Now return outside and climb the same tree. Do another handstand for another one-up. Repeat this trick to collect an unlimited amount of lives. |

| During the first fight with Bowser, continuously avoid him and collect all the coins that appear. Continue to do this until 1000 coins have been collected. Then, a green "M" will appear next to the number of lives remaining. From this point on, when a life is lost, the number of lives increases. While gaining lives will actually lower the number of lives remaining. The cheat will end if the number of lives reaches zero, such as when Yoshi gives Mario 100 lives after obtaining 120 stars. This trick cannot be done on the North American version as it only allows 999 coins to be collected. Note: Once the game is ended you will no longer have infinite lives. |

| Obtain all 120 stars and return to Course 4 (Cool, Cool Mountain). Before entering, select the Big Penguin Race. Then begin the game and jump into the chimney of the house at the beginning of the level. Now the penguin will be even larger than before. |
