Control CPU Players

Hold Start and press Select before rolling the dice.
Select the desired character to control when prompted and press A.
Highlight the "Game Control" option and press A to convert the CPU player into a human controlled player.

Buy Properties Cheaply

 Updated 14 Jun
Note: This trick may only be done if your player is first or last in turn.
Select to bid on an unowned property.
Enter a low bid and hold Up (if your player has the first turn), or Down (if your player has the last turn).
The game will not accept any other bids for the property, allow you to buy it for the initial bid.
