After pressing the X, or Start button immediately Press and Hold Down until the loading screen fully disappears.

Press and Hold (LEFT+SQUARE+CIRCLE) this will enable the ability to smash into other cars and send them flipping out of your path.

Note: if you are going too fast you may still crash, slow down just a little first before colliding with another car
