An Abra is hard to catch, but it is worth it. When your Pokemon are weak and you need to get to a Pokécenter quickly, press Start and choose Pokemon. A list of your Pokemon will appear. If you have Abra with you, choose him and select teleport.
*Note: You have to be outside first; use an escape rope if needed. It will take you directly to the last Pokemon Center visited. |

The U.S. version of the game contains the following glitch Pokemon, which is obtained by using these steps. Go to Cinnabar Island. Enter into the building where the man makes Pokemon out of fossils. Enter the first room in the building with people that want to trade Pokemon. Trade with one of these people; it does not matter which one. Go back outside and move to the far right side of the building.
Then, surf up and down the side of the island while half on land and half in the water. Keep surfing until challenged by a glitch that resembles a microchip or barcode. He is part bird and part water type and starts on level 80.
*Note: Obtaining Missingno can prevent the game from continuing correctly. |

First you must catch all 150 Pokémon NOT I repeat NOT using GameShark.

Then you also must have Seventeen of your Pokémon over Level 70.

Then when all of these tasks are complete, go to the guy in Pewter City who asks you if you have been to the Museum yet. Say NO so he takes you to the door.

Then go into the Museum and go upstairs and talk to the Lady who says "I want My boyfriend to catch me a Pikachu!"

After you talk to her, immediately come out of the door and once you come out of the door do not take any steps forward. left, or right. Immediately use fly and go to Celedon City.

Go into the Game Corner and talk to the Lady that says "Go Next Door to the Coin Exchange Corner to use your coins to get great Prizes!"

But this time she will say, "Hey? You have all the badges? WOW! Well then since you were nice enough to talk to me, I will give you this Pokemon I found stranded behind then Pokemon Museum, he is so strong I can not control him.But since you have all the badges, YOU TAKE HIM!

It will say, "You got ???????" Then when you try to use it it will just be like if you were pressing cancel and it will exit every time you click on it. Then go to Proffesor Oak and he will say the same thing he says when you give him Oaks Parcel, it will still say "YOU DELIVERED OAKS PARCEL!"

Then when you go into your pokemon line and it will replace the Pokemon in your first slot. So put a spearow or something in first. It will still be called ????? so go to the Nickname guy and change it to Pikablu. It has a ElectricWave, Psyshock, and Electrode... Dont ask me why its Electrode but its an awesome move.

It is a Level 999 and Pikablu will, Yes it will appear in your Pokedex! After 150 it will say 154 and then you look at the Pokedex Info and it will look like this...

Stats: Attack-999 Defense-999 Speed-999 Special-999
Attacks: ElectricWave,Psyshock,Electrode,SonicBoom. When you get 60,000 more experience points after catching it. It Learns SonicBoom when you gain around 60, 000 experience points and it kills any pokemon in one hit and it never misses! |

| In order to catch Pokemon alot easier what you would do is when you toss a Pokeball at the Pokemon as soon as it explodes press: B then down and when the ball closes press A and then rotate your thumb either clockwise or counterclockwise on the D-pad, I would prefer doing it counterclockwise. |

| You go to Viridian City and talk to the guy who tells you how to catch Weedle, then you don't move, and fly to Cinnabar island select the item you want copy, and put it to the sixth place, then save the game, and go to the right part of cinnabar island where its one step from the shore and you surf up and down 'til you find this guy called Missingno. If you defeated him/her, you will get copys of the item you selected. Remember don't catch it! And it only works on Red and Blue version. |

Enter Celadon City and get the coin case from the man in the back of the diner. Go to the slots and ask for some free coins. You will use these to play the slots and win Pokemon prizes. Here is how to find the slot machine that pays out the most. When you walk in, there are rows of slots. Find the man to the far left that says "wins come and go". Below him is a machine that is out of order. Play the machine directly beneath it. Do not get frustrated if you do not win constantly. If it stops paying out a lot, leave, go train your Pokemon, and come back later.
Note: This trick works more often in the "Blue" version of the game. Also try walking around Celadon's Game Corner and repeatedly press A to find coins that people have dropped. |

| Note: This trick requires another Game Boy and Pokemon game. Trade the Pokemon to be cloned, and have the other player get a Pokemon that he or she does not care about. Trade them, and make sure the player receiving the bad Pokemon can see the other player's screen. When the Game Boy that receives the good Pokemon's displays "Waiting", get ready to shut the other Game Boy off. When the "Waiting" message disappears, turn off the Game Boy that is receiving the bad Pokemon. When the "Trade completed" message appears, turn off the remaining Game Boy. Both games will have the same good Pokemon when they are turned back on. |

Besides teleporting, the following methods may also be used to get to a Pokécenter.
Use Dig when in a cave.
Fly (HM05 that lets you fly to any desired town.
Also try Softboiled that you can only teach Chansey. It takes some of Chansey's health to give to another Pokémon, and also restores Chansey's health by half during a battle.
Flash, used to light up Rock Tunnel and make an opponent's accuracy fall.
Cut used to cut certain bushes and is used like Scratch in battle.
Surf, which lets you surf across any body of water and is used like the Hydro-Pump in battle. |
