I discovered this trick some ten years ago, and only now am able to release it!

As many know, this game involves using a dolphin and a seagull to rescue the mermaid. Rescue the mermaid as you normally would on Level one.

Prepare to rescue her again on Level two -- go down and rescue her, but after unlocking the cage, go up and leave the area before the cage opens fully.

Become a seagull again, and fly around left or right to any of the volcanos. You will see the designers initials replace the volcanic rock! "RF" is almost definately Rob Fulop -- he left Atari to go to Imagic, but who is the other one I wonder?
